The CCM 4 is a compact small diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone suitable for a very wide range of applications. It can be used as a spot microphone with vocals, spoken voice or acoustic instruments and in coincident, ORTF or M/S stereo setups. It offers consistent directionality throughout its frequency range. Its attenuation at 90 incidence angle is 6 dB and at 180 it reaches 20-30 dB. Diffuse sound is reduced by 4.8 dB compared to frontally incident sound. In the diffuse sound field the CCM 4 shows a gentle rise around 10 kHz. Matched pairs are available although normal production tolerances are very close. Custom colours are available on request. Each CCM microphone is available as a standard version L with a Lemo plug and as a version U with a permanently attached 5 m cable and XLR-3M connector.
